Some natural cleaning products we trialled..
For a number of reasons, natural cleaning products are a rapidly growing market. I can say we have seen a definite increase in the past 10 years of our customers asking us for advice on natural cleaning products, or in turn them recommending a new cleaning product they have discovered to our cleaners.
As a result, we thought it would be a good idea, and a bit of fun, for us in the office to trial a couple of new product ourselves and see how they stood up when used cleaning our own homes!
Recently reviewed in the Independent as a 'Best Buy' was Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds biodegradable cleaner: Available for £9.49 for 473ml online at Big Green Smile.
The first thing to say is it's an all-purpose cleaner so you can use it for cleaning surfaces, mopping the floor, or cleaning bathrooms and even laundry. We LOVE that as a feature and generally love a decent universal cleaner. For a start, it speeds up your cleaning, reduces the amount of storage space you need for cleaning products, and of course reduces waste as you don't have lots of plastic bottles of products slowly going out of date under your sink!
Whilst it looks a bit pricey, it is concentrated which again reduces the amount of packaging used and means a little bit went a long way. It was nice to use and worked really well on a dirty kitchen floor (the January weather!) as well as cleaning the dishes after our Sunday roast.
This is one that has stayed in my house and I will definitely keep it as one of my main go-to cleaning products. For any animal lovers and environmentally concerned folks you'll be happy to hear this is non-GMO, cruelty-free and vegan.
